I thought we'd made up for lost time
But our day together was so sublime
It had me rethink about why it was so fine
It was because to every moment did ourselves we resign
And recreated magic that hasn't seen us in a while
The magic our companionship weaved and styled
Supplemented by interesting episodes from our lives
Expressing what by ourselves, each of us strives
An interesting and beautiful day did we well spend
It wasn't about the lost time that we had to mend
For new memories have we forged in time
